The 4 day SCIENCE Deep Stone course takes you on a journey beyond Simply Stones and Original Body into a deep tissue and temperature based treatment system. The course is specifically designed to help develop your understanding of Thermo-therapy and our therapeutic massage techniques that can facilitate chemical and physical responses within the body.

The course is split into 3 different Modules. The course is run in two ways:
4 day course: The four day course is open to all therapists who are Simply Stones or Original Body trained.
Modular sections over weekends are open to all therapists:

Module 1 is the completion of the LaStone Simply Stones (2 day course) or Original Body (4 day course) course. This is the pre-requisite to attending the Deep Stone course. Courses may be taken from any dates on the course schedule.

Module 2 looks specifically at muscles of the lower body. Some of these muscles include plantar and flexor muscles, quadriceps, hamstrings, gastrocnemius, soleus, achilles tendon, tensor fascia lata, gluteals, sacro-tuberous ligament, quadratus lumborum, psoas major and minor and Iliacus (2 days).

Module 3 looks specially at muscles of the upper body. Some of these muscles include mastoid process, levator scapula, trapezius, infraspinatus, supraspinatus, serratus anterior, subscapularis, biceps, triceps, deltoids, rhomboids, Pectoralis major and minor, erector spinae (2 days).

In total you will learn how to treat 43 different specific muscles over the 4 days of instruction. As the course progresses we incorporate these new techniques your existing skills into a full body treatment and assess your ongoing professional development.

This is a deep tissue workshop, which using hot and cold stone avoids most of the common and painful after- effects associated with deep tissue work. This is a unique course which goes one stage further than the traditional sports massage course.

You will learn how to work prescriptively on specific problems, muscle groups, develop further clinical techniques and client positioning. These new techniques will benefit the therapist and client alike, reducing R.S.I. on the therapist’s hands, shoulders and back, prolonging your career and own health.
